Unit 1 Discussion Topic 1:
Introductions will help you to become familiar with your classmates. Topic 2 will increase your readiness for learning in the course by reviewing your professional KSAOs with the ATD Competency Model. Topic 3 begins the course review of HRD related SHRM content areas starting with change management and drivers of change.
Topic 1: ATD Competency Model
The course is constructed around the ATD (formerly ASTD) Competency Model, which is presented in Figure 1-5. Figure 1-5 presents the 2004 ASTD Competency Model. 
Access the more recent version of the ATD Competency Model (Sisakhti, 2015) in the PG Library. 
Using either the ASTD 2004 Competency Model in Figure 1-5, or the 2014 ATD Competency Model, how would you assess your KSA (knowledge, skills, ability) in the TD Areas of Expertise (performance improvement, instructional design, training delivery, learning technologies, evaluating learning impact, managing learning programs, integrated talent management, coaching, knowledge management, and change management)?
