You should state how the current research supports your PICOT, question identifies what is known and what is not known in the evidence. Compare the research questions, sample populations and limitations of all 8 studies. The simplest way to do this is to look for trends and similarities of the studies and then make your statement a general one which indicates this data.
1)Introduction section- Briefly introduce the topic of your paper.The PICOT question should be stated in this
first paragraph.
2)A summary of the purpose of All 8 studies- Combine similar study purpose of 3 or 4 studies followed by a group citation for those studies included in that group. Continue this practice for the rest of the purposes of similar studies.
3)A comparison of sample populations –Compare the population of your PICOT question with the sample populations of these studies. Explain the similarities of these populations and how the supportive or unsupportive of your PICOT topic of the project.
4)Synthesis of Study Conclusions- group the conclusions of the 8 studies by themes or similar content. Look at how the subject was handled to determine the group of the theme.
5)A Summary of the limitations of the studies supporting the PICOT topic. Similar limitations of the studies should be grouped followed by group citations.
6)A conclusion section- It is a wrap up that states the major points of the paper and incorporates recommendations for further research.
