Why do we itch? Sometimes itching is in response to allergies, bug bites, healing skin, or some other known cause. But what exactly makes your skin get that itchy, scratchy sensation? Should you scratch that itch or let it be?
This week’s video titled “Why Do We Itch?” from TED Ed explains why we itch. Watch it and then respond with the following information:
summary of the video in your own words (summary should be a paragraph with at least five [5] sentences)
what is histamine’s function in the body?
should you scratch an itch?
Lastly, for some just the thought of itchy skin can cause a person to scratch? Did it happen to you? Comment in your response if this happened to you or not!
Responses should be at least two to three paragraphs, each with at least five (5) well written sentences.
