This project intends to apply what we have learned in the semester. You need to play the role
of a consultant to help an organization solve an issue they are currently facing. For instance,
you may have noticed that the gym you always go to is losing lots of aerobics instructors.
What are the reasons? How would you solve this issue? Or people in the studied organization
are not motivated to work at all although they do show up every day. They are not
productive. What are the reasons for this?
 You are responsible for finding the organization and topics you are interested in. You can
contact a local organization and get first-hand information via interviews or surveys
(Minimum criteria: You need to interview at least 2 employees or survey 2 employees).
Regarding the interview or survey questions, you can easily find questions online by simply
googling any key constructs (i.e., job satisfaction, organizational commitment etc).
In this project, you need to:
1. Introduce background information of the organization.
2. State the problems the organization currently faces (e. job satisfaction & organizational
commitment low; cooperation between team members; leadership; etc.) on the basis of
your data collection (either via interviews or surveys; how did you conduct the
interview or survey? What are the basic procedures?)
3. Use class materials to analyze the problems/issues.
4. Provide your own feasible recommendations.
5. The final paper text needs to be 2 pages in length excluding the cover page, reference
page and any exhibits (single spaced, APA format, 1 inch margin, Times New
Roman 12; 2 pages length means the paper has 2 pages of body of text, NOT 1.5
page, NOT slightly over 1 page, also NOT 3 plus pages).
6. Please place interview or survey questions in the Exhibits.
7. You don’t need to have an abstract for this project.
8. Your final project should be at least five pages in length including:
Page 1: Cover page (Project title, your name, and CRN number for the class)
Pages 2 & 3: Paper text (single spaced, APA format, 1 inch margin, Times New
Roman 12).
Page 4: References (A good project always incorporates class materials and external
research papers that you find yourself).
Page 5: Exhibits (i.e., Interview or Survey questions; If one page is not enough, you
can use two pages here).
