The video we watched this week about sex testing in sports brings up the issue of fairness. (The article also touches on this as well.) As the video notes different people have different biological advantages and disadvantages .
In this post–which is less about facts and right/wrong–please address the following question: why do the IAAF and other sport organizations rely on the concept of biological sex (which has been shown impossible to determine–kind of like race!) as the basis for “fair competition”?
