These instructions reflect a task our writers previously completed for another student. Should you require assistance with the same assignment, please submit your homework details to our writers’ platform. This will ensure you receive an original paper, you can submit as your own. The story of Henrietta Lacks and her family provided a compelling vehicle to introduce the issues of consent, medical research, and compensation to many in the medical field and in the world at large.
Research another individual whose treatment, health care, or medical journey provided an important breakthrough or key decision to scientific research, discovery, health care legislation, and/or another aspect of the scientific or medical field.  This individual could be from any time period and can relate to any branch of science or medicine.  You can use books and/or the Internet to do your research and you must include a works cited page for any research or articles that you use.  Make sure to use credible research.  This needs to be an individual other than one discussed in The Immortal Life.
Write a 3-4 page paper where you do the following:
-Summarize the story of the individual you are researching
-Explain the contribution that their journey made to the scientific/medical field and show how their story brought about that change.  Who were the key players and the key elements of their story?
-Compare their story to that of Henrietta and the Lacks family.  How are the two stories similar? How are they different (besides the obvious ways)?  Try to think outside the box and draw interesting comparisons and contrasts.
