These instructions reflect a task our writers previously completed for another student. Should you require assistance with the same assignment, please submit your homework details to our writers’ platform. This will ensure you receive an original paper, you can submit as your own. For further guidance, visit our ‘How It Works’ page.

Step 1: Prepare experimental materials
Use Google Image Search (or something like it) to find pictures of different people (different ages, genders, race, physical appearance or abilities, etc.). Choose four images that you wish to use as your experimental stimuli.
Step 2: Recruit at least one participant
Recruit at least one participant. Ask your participant if they are willing to participate in an experiment you are conducting for class.
Step 3: Data collection
Ask your participant to imagine the following scenario. Say: Close your eyes and imagine that you have been assigned to work on a group project for a class. Open your eyes and I will show you your partner.
Show them each picture one at a time. Give them a few seconds to react to each partner, but don’t say anything. Be sure to record (written or video-recorded) their responses.
After you have have shown them all the pictures, ask them to reflect on their reactions to their different hypothetical group members. Again, be sure to record (written or video-recorded) their responses.
Finally, ask your participant(s): Did you react the same to all your group members? Why or why not? Did you have any preferences of who you would want in your group? Where did those preferences come from? Record (written or video-recorded) their responses.
Step 3: Write and submit your lab report
Include in your lab report (submitted to this Canvas Assignment):
Your participants’ responses to the questions above (written or video-recorded)
Copies of the pictures you showed
Your own written reflections on the experiment and what the results mean
