Reviews should be between 500 and 750 words and contain: the author’s qualifications to write the book ; identification of the book’s thesis; evidence supporting the thesis; a discussion about how the author deals with counter evidence; a look at important sources used to write the book; a discussion about how the book fits into its disciplinary context; and a recommendation about who should read the book. Reviews should be written as a continual essay using correct English, complete sentences and paragraphs. Do not section the review off. The review grade will be determined by how well students deal with the above issues and how well the review is written.
