Vaccine-Hesitancy Message (MMR, Varicella, or HPV) (individual activity)
In this clinical activity, students will develop a short, engaging, oral vodcast message supported by evidence regarding the controversy surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine. A vodcast is a video of themselves.
Instructions:
Students should create a 4-5 minute vodcast report (a video of themselves) that includes the following:
Students should select one of the following immunizations as the topic of their vaccine-hesitancy message—COVID-19—and briefly describe the controversy surrounding the selected vaccine in a video.
Students should develop a brief, engaging speech that they could share with those who are hesitant to receive this vaccine.
Students should include facts about the illness, as well as possible side effects from the vaccine and why the students believe the vaccine is important.
Students should cite two evidence-based sources within their vodcast.
Professional appearance and demeanor are required. The vodcast should be an upbeat, interesting, and accurate, evidence-based approach to decreasing vaccine hesitancy.
Students should submit the vodcast and source citations as directed by the instructor.
