Even though you are asked to address a series of questions in this assignment, your essay should not be written as a series of individual, unconnected responses to these questions. That is, do not have separate sections that begin with you repeating one of the questions asked and then providing an answer. The essay should be written as one coherent, unified whole with paragraphs connected by transitional sentences. There should be an introduction and a conclusion. There should be no subsections with subheadings in this paper.
This essay must be written entirely in your own words. Do not quote from any other sources. Any information taken from a source that you consult should be accompanied by an in-text citation, and all sources cited in the text should be listed on a Works Cited page at the end of the text. Citations to sources with numbered pages must include a page number indicating the specific page on which the information you are citing can be found. Citations should be in MLA format.
Your essay must be submitted by 11:59 PM ET on Sunday.
You can review the Writing Assignment Rubric to see how your assignment will be graded and materials on MLA formatting, including creating citations, in the Syllabus and Course Info section.
