These instructions reflect a task our writers previously completed for another student. Should you require assistance with the same assignment, please submit your homework details to our writers’ platform. This will ensure you receive an original paper, you can submit as your own. Read First:
Read the three samples on the Sample Synthesis Essays page. (https://sowela.instructure.com/courses/389549/pages/sample-synthesis-essays ) Keep in mind that they are not the exact assignment you are doing, but they will give you a good idea about how to find connections between multiple articles, organize paragraphs, transition, use examples and quotes, etc. Also remember that these are not necessarily perfect essays (Sample 3, for instance, needs more development and specific/unique topic sentences).
Instructor: You can post different sample essays if you prefer.
Post:
After reading the sample synthesis essays, respond to the following questions:
Which sample essay seemed strongest to you? Why? Point out aspects that you think the student did well with synthesis and essay-writing in general.
What do you understand better now that you’ve read a few sample essays? How will you use this as you move forward with your own synthesis (comparison) essay?
Part 2:
In preparation for publishing your synthesis essay, I want you to first turn your notes into a visual map. This will help you draw relationships between ideas took notes on and may want to explore in your essay. Take your notes/connections and turn them into a visual map. This is a graphic representation of the possible connections and divergences. You can use any of these online programs: Mindmup, Popplet, Bubble, or Mindmap. They are all easy to use and free. Some are also available in App version for a tablet (Mindmup is very easy to use on the tablet app).
Please post a picture of your visual map based off connection notes you took with the previous tasks.
If you saved it or can right-click/copy as image (jpg, png), then copy and paste it straight into this reply textbox. If you saved it as a pdf file, for example, then attach it.
Part 2:
Then, in just a few sentences (250 words not required here), tell me:
In what ways did visualizing and drawing out your connections help your understanding or development of ideas?
