Introduce the two written or spoken pieces you have chosen to analyze for key linguistic principles and use of the English language. (The two works I chose are The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Twisted by Emily McIntire.)The following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Analysis and Critique: In this part of the project, you will choose either written or spoken pieces as directed in the prompt. You will describe he pieces and explain why they were chosen. Then, you will analyze and critique the chosen pieces for their use of words and how they use the English language.
A. Describe the chosen written or spoken pieces and explain why you chose them. Are these pieces relevant to you personally? Did they have an impact on you as a writer/teacher/editor?
B. Analyze the chosen pieces:
i. From morphological and phonological perspectives. In other words, how does the use of language in the chosen piece relate to morphological (free morphemes, bound morphemes, affixes) and phonological (alliteration, onomatopoeia, consonance, assonance) ideas and concepts?
