OVERVIEW
Victimology is not new, but it is not as widely studied as other disciplines within the Criminal Justice field. For example, criminology is the study of criminals, and has been more substantiated in research, such as studies conducted on famous serial killers. Victimology, on the other hand, studies the victim, by taking a scientific method to answer questions about victims that can potentially prevent victimization. In this assignment, you will take a position on whether victimology is a useful addition to the criminal justice field, and can it help prevent victimization.
