Narrative Assignment I asks students to write about their personal narrative from birth to 17. Throughout their personal narratives, students will demonstrate their knowledge by incorporating discussion of theories of learning and personality development, explain how systems, issues, cultural experiences, and attitudes impacted their development, and identify strategies, systems, and/or issues that have promoted or impeded optimal development, identify cognitive, emotional, and social development through the use of theories and concepts learned in class, and discuss the impacts of chronic and acute trauma on individuals and their unique context across the lifespan. Please see Narrative Assignment I on Blackboard and the corresponding rubric for further information.
