Michael is a BSc student, raised as a Christian, well formed in the faith with generally good
moral habits (prayer, sacraments). From the time he was a teenager he has enjoyed using
technology and over time has become expert in a few aspects of communications
technology. He is connected all the time, checks different places like Twitter (X), Facebook
and other social media networks.
Years ago, a classmate introduced him to a variety of sites on the internet. Visiting those
sites led to discovery of information that attacks him Christian faith and propose to him
the idea of becoming a full-time atheist.
In your recent conversation with Michael, your friend, he told you that he doesn’t believe
in the existence of God anymore. He thinks that all of it is something made up by the
different religions to keep people going to their churches, mosques, temples etc.
You have just completed you course in “Introduction to Faith and Reason” and you have
now learnt that:
a) The existence of God can be proved by reason.
b) this truth is also an object of faith for God has revealed himself to his creation….
It is your occasion to prove to your friend Michael that the existence of God can be known
