Instructions:
Develop a PowerPoint presentation of the chosen clinical topic which demonstrates thorough research and current knowledge.  The PowerPoint should be forwarded to the course coordinator no later than the Friday preceding the presentation. This will be reviewed and returned to the student for editing if necessary. 
Grading will be according to the following rubric: (total of 10% of final class grade) 
Preparation – 30 points possible: 
⦁Course description – clear statement of what the presentation will address             
⦁ Course outcomes – achievable objectives; clearly written and measurable
⦁ Interactive learning activities (provide something for your peers to respond to after viewing your presentation)
⦁ Reference list (minimum of 3 professional, peer-reviewed journal articles)  
⦁ Directly address presentation content and/or add to textbook information 
⦁ APA guidelines (references in APA format and cited on slides as appropriate) 
Content  – 40 points possible: 
⦁ Introduction of material  
⦁ General, short introduction which specifies what will be addressed
⦁ Information is complete and well-organized (SOAP order)
⦁ Logically presented without confusion or disorganization
⦁ Clear explanations 
⦁ Uses pathophysiology, health assessment, and general information r/t health problem to define and discuss the topic
⦁ Clearly augments any information as needed or as requested by learners
⦁ Conforms to assigned content
⦁ Summarizes key points at end of presentation
⦁ PowerPoint or other presentation without errors in spelling/grammar 
Presentation – 30 points possible:
⦁ Presents clearly and maintains eye contact/interacts with members of the audience
⦁ Confident presentation with clear enunciation and good volume
⦁ Vocal delivery is varied and appropriate (not monotone)
⦁ Appropriate animation without exaggerated gesturing
⦁ Uses A-V materials appropriately
⦁ Does not read the audiovisual material word-for-word (augments information)
⦁ Uses time allocation wisely
⦁ Time of presentation is 30 minutes or less
⦁ Introductory material is brief but pertinent
⦁ Uses more of time allocation to focus on most important content
⦁ Summarizes appropriately
