In this task, you will watch a recorded video of a teacher’s use of assessment to monitor learning and adjust teaching. You will analyze the video for the teacher’s use of assessment and how the teacher used the evidence to plan their next steps. After completing the analysis, you will outline a goal and action steps to address your plan for tyour own classroom.
Watch the video at least two (2) times.
Round #1: Familiarize yourself with the video. You’ll most likely notice features of the classroom loosely or unrelated to instruction.
Round #2: Look for evidence directly related to the focus area. Conduct research as needed on your focus area.
Record data related to the focus area on your Video Analysis Template.
Analyze the data you collected, and support your responses with scholarly sources. 
State any problem(s) that you want to be aware of related to your focus area;
Describe the importance of addressing this problem;
Hypothesize possible causes/sources of the problem;
Set a specific and measurable goal for improvement; and
Explain what next steps you plan to take to achieve your goal.
Submit your completed Video Analysis Template to Blackboard for review by your instructor.
Your completed analysis should meet the following criteria:
Fully explains all responses with full context and support of ideas
Uses scholarly sources to support position (both course textbook and outside research are acceptable)
Cites sources both in-text and in a reference list using APA format
Proofreads, revises, and edits all work before submission
