For your second major assignment, it will be done in two parts based on the research topic you have chosen with the first major assignment: 1) research questions based on the topic and research conducted, and 2) an annotated bibliography that reflects a variety of 8 sources.
For guidance in writing your APA style annotated bibliography, consult the Purdue Owl Website or review the Annotated Bibliography Guidelines document under the Helpful Writing Links section of the Canvas classroom.
A successful assignment will have the following two parts:
1. Research Questions:
Create 3 research questions based on PowerPoint Presentation in Week 3.
Utilize the template provided under Week 3 section of classroom
Research Question #1 must be a Question of Definition (This question allows you to explain the problem to your reader)
Research Question #2 should be chosen from the following options:
Question of Fact
Question of Interpretation
Question of Consequence
Question of Value
Research Question #3 must be a Question of Policy (This question will answer what needs to be done about the problem/issue)
2. Annotated Bibliography:
At least 8 credible sources that reflect the overall conversation surrounding your topic (homelessness, poverty, etc.).
Source listing must consist of a variety of genres (academic journals, newspaper articles, websites, videos, etc.)
There must be at least two (2) academic journals listed for your topic
You can include the first two sources you researched for Major Assignment #1 in this assignment
Content of annotation contains a summary of the text and statement of how this article contributes to/benefits your research.
Annotations must be at least 100 to 150 words in length
