For this final assignment, you will be writing about a topic of your choice. The topic you choose for this assignment will be submitted and approved by your instructor. It should be a topic that you have not written about before (either in this course or any other course), and it cannot be a topic associated with abortion, capital punishment, bullying, vaccines, or the legalization of marijuana.
The topic you select can be either informative or argumentative. If your topic is informative, be sure that your topic focuses on an object, person, event, or phenomenon and does not contain your opinion/stance on the topic. If your topic is argumentative, remember that you must choose a topic that has an opposing viewpoint, make clear your stance on that topic, and acknowledge the opposition to your argument through use of a refutation and/or concession
Remember, there is no “I” in research, so do not use first person pronouns in your work. Also, do not include any direct address of reader (“you” and other personal pronouns as discussed in class).In addition, you must include a minimum of 5 sources including primary, secondary, and peer-reviewed sources following MLA format and expectations and a complete works cited page; at least three of your sources should be from peer-reviewed journals.
