1. The midterm paper will be an informative paper of at least 1000 words.
You will have an opening paragraph that contains a topic sentence and your thesis
statement that will include 3-4.
The body of the essay will be approximately 2-4 paragraphs (6-8 sentences per paragraph).
Lastly, you will have a conclusion paragraph. This will be a 5-6 paragraph assignment. Paragraphs should be between 200-250 words each.
2. This assignment will include a Works Cited page correctly done in MLA style. 3rd Person POV. (No 1st
or 2nd person allowed.)
3. Citing in text is also expected. At minimum 2 sources for each main point. They both will be in text
cited in the appropriate paragraph. For example: last name of author, page number (or if no page number, use year published).
4. You can choose a topic from the following academic fields of study. Health Profession,
Science/Technology, Business, Psychology/Sociology, and Humanities/Arts.
