Drawing from your field study experience, pick a problem that needs solved. Write an op-ed that identifies this problem, argues for its significance, and makes a call to action. This could be a major social problem, population or environmental crisis, or even a smaller issue that your workplace faces. It could be directly or indirectly related to your field study, e.g., lack of public funding for social services or deportation fears faced by immigrant families. Use evidence to make your case. Op-Eds are an excellent vehicle for translating your experience and research to the broader public. Be sure to take a position and argue convincingly. You should cite a minimum of two, maximum of four, outside references to support your argument. (I am currently interning at the Laguna Boys and Girls club, which is like a day care center. One small problem that I recently encounter is that a children mentioned that one of his parent is positive for covid, but the child still came to the club. This is a health concern for both staff and other children in the club)
