Design appropriate visuals for inclusion on the website and/or in videos and social media posts. You must create three different types of visuals. As with the Web pages and video, the graphical content developed here should help ″bend attitudes.″ The visuals should contribute to or correspond to the overall message of the campaign and should be attractive. It would help to incorporate any catch phrases you have developed for your campaign and/or your campaign′s hashtag. Do the following:
Create a logo for the social media campaign. Visuals should adhere to good visual design and good rhetorical design, and it should be integrated with the theme of your campaign. (See the Technology Tools Guide for info on how to create a logo.)
Using concepts from this course, provide a 250-500-word rationale for the logo design decisions that were made.
Create an infographic. Infographics should also adhere to good visual design and rhetorical design, and should include added elements that are informative and persuasive. Your infographic should strike a balance between typical features of this genre/sub-genre and adapting the genre to meet the needs for your particular campaign. (See the Technology Tools Guide for info on how to create an infographic.)

Create a picture or other visual to be used on social media. Visuals should adhere to good visual design and good rhetorical design to further the interests of your campaign.

There is a link to the “Technology Tools Guide” at the end of these directions. Use the Creating an Infographic and Logo Creation sections of this guide to help you become familiar with how to create visual graphics. The graphic creation tools the guide recommends are much less daunting than you might imagine. Anyone with very basic technology experience will be able to produce simple, but high quality graphics. Remember, you are to use principles of visual rhetoric in creating your visuals, but you are not required to produce overly complex visuals or purchase expensive equipment.
The three visuals should be submitted in one document. You may copy and paste the URL below to see the “Technology Tools Guide.” Refer to the section on creating a PDF for assistance on how to create a PDF. Or submitting them as a Word doc is also appropriate.
