CREATE A RESOURCE BROCHURE
Introduction:
As educators or other early childhood specialists, we need to be aware of the families we serve and the needs they may have.  As this class has demonstrated, families often need support and resources beyond what we can provide.  Therefore, we need to become familiar with other outreach programs in our community and be able to provide appropriate referrals and contact information when needed.  For this activity, you will be researching what resources are available in our area to create a brochure you can provide to families in need.
Instructions:
1. Research your local community to help you with this assignment.
2. Then, I want you to create a very professional looking brochure that provides contact information and services provided for various resources in your community that families may need from time to time.
3. Create the brochure as if it were to be an official and professional document you would display in an office or workplace.  Make it colorful and attractive with relevant photos and visual enhancements.
4. Make sure you address different types of services from emergency sheltering for domestic violence victims to Part C providers for early intervention.  You can list food banks, counseling services, whatever you feel may be beneficial to the families you serve at any given time.
**Make sure you are proofreading your document thoroughly before submitting.  Writing should be at a college level, free from errors such as grammar, spelling and punctuation.
