Case conceptualization is a way to view
at what is going on with our client from a particular theoretical lens.
How you view what is going on with a client helps you prepare a
thoughtful treatment plan so you are not haphazardly using random
approaches and interventions, but building an intentional framework to
help you work with your client through treatment planning and beyond.
Case conceptualizations look slightly
different depending the selected theoretical orientation. For this
week, however, you will create a Case Conceptualization using the
example and blank form attached. An example of a fake client is
provided. Use the information from your textbooks to complete a case
conceptualization regarding your client. In the event you’re missing
information, you may be creative and add some details. However, please
remember that if you add information you have to maintain that storyline
for the duration of the case.
