You are expected to produce a short two-page research proposal brief. The main purpose is to show
that the issue you propose to investigate is significant enough to warrant the investigation, the method
you plan to use is suitable and feasible, and the results are likely to prove fruitful and will make a
notable contribution. In short, what you are answering is ‘will it work’ or ‘is it worthwhile’? This forces
you to think about your topic, to see the scope of your research, and to review the suitability of your
methodology.
Submission:
Submit each assessment task as a single file to the Assessment Drop Box on the LearnJCU subject site.
Use MS Word, Arial 11-point font, single line spacing.
• No hardcopies of assignment reports are required for submission.
• Only one submission per group. Make sure all group members’ names are on the cover sheet/first
page.
• Use the literature to support your need for the research and the problem that the research will
address. Additionally, identify at least 15 key papers that are central to the paper.
• There is no word limit applicable to this assignment. 1,000 words is a rough guide
